Today is 3.14, otherwise known as pi. Many people celebrate by eating pie. Unfortunately most pie crusts are loaded with butter. You can still celebrate pi day with pie, just be smart in your choices.
Try to pick one with only a bottom crust, not top and bottom. That means avoiding crumble topped pie, too. That will cut your butter consumption in about half.
Meringue pies are high in sugar, but lower in saturated fat. Since the meringue is sugar and egg whites. Try to pick a filling under the meringue that isn't loaded in fat and sugar, too.
